Welcome to AfBV, the Belgian Shepherd Dog Association
of Sweden!
On our homepage you will find information in Swedish about many
things concerning our breed. On the left you will find a list of
headlines. Below is a short explanation of how to translate them:
“Nyheter”
is news and information.
“Agenda”
is a list of club activities.
“Agility”
is of course just that.
“Belgardata!
is information about the computer programme where we combine all
officially registered results of the Swedish Belgian Shepherd population
with information provided by breeders and dogowners. The programme
offers many search functions and is a very useful tool for breeders.
It is updated 2-4 times a year.
“Belgarweb”
is a light version of Belgardata where you can obtain much of the
information (but not as many search functions) live on-line. To
search for information click “sök hund”. Then if
you are looking for information about a particular dog, enter the
registered name under “registrerat namn” and click “sök”.
If you want to find out which dogs have certain merits choose gender
under “kön” – male is “hane”
and female is “tik”, both is “båda”.
Choose breed variety under “variant”, all is “alla”.
Then choose birth dates under “födelsedatum” and
the merits you are looking for from the list. “Korad”
means that the dog has passed an extensive mentality test and has
approved conformation in accordance with the breed standard, SBCH
is Swedish Working Dog Champion, SLCH is Swedish Obedience Champion.
SAgCH is Swedish Agility Champion, UCH is Show Champion and Tjänstehund
means Rescue or Military/Police Dog. “HD ua” is free
from hip dysplasia and “AD ua” is free from elbow dysplasia.
“Bruksmeriter” is competitive working dog merits, “sök”
is searching for people, “spår” is tracking, “rapport”
is running between stations and “skydd” is protection.
In each of those you can choose what level of achievement you are
looking for, where “godkänd lägre” means enough
points for class I, “uppflyttad lägre” means enough
points to be elevated to class II, “godkänd högre”
sufficient points for class II, “uppflyttad högre”
means elevated to class III, godkänd elit is sufficient points
for class III, “certp” means enough points to win a
certificate (but someone else won by more than 10p) and “cert”
means certificate.
“Forum”
is the place to discuss different issues concerning our breed.
“Grattisar”
is where you can congratulate Belgian Shepherds and their owners
to various achievements.
“Gräddfil”
is a “fastlane” to communicate with our office.
“Kansli”
is the office which is our official address.
“Kommittéer
mm” is where you find our committees and people responsible
for different parts of our activities.
“Kontakt” is an
easy way to e-mail our office.
“Köp&Sälj”
is where you can buy and sell dog-related items (but not dogs!).
“LokalOmråden”
is our Club Districts for different parts of Sweden.
“Länkar”
is links to other home pages.
“Minneslund”
is a page where you write something as a memorial of a dog that
is no longer with us.
“Medlem”
is information about the different membership categories that exists.
Foreign members must also be members of Svenska Brukshundklubben,
SBK, the Working Dog Association of Sweden and the current membership
fee is SKR 370 to SBK and SKR 255 to AfBV, in all SKR 625.
“Om AfBV”
is information about the Belgian Shepherd Dog Association of Sweden.
The Belgian Shepherd Dog Association of Sweden is one of many breed
associations within the Working Dog Association of Sweden, which
in its turn is a part of the Swedish Kennel Club. Our aim is to
contribute to the breeding of sound Belgian Shepherd Dogs in accordance
with the official breed standard. We are a nationwide association
of breeders, dogowners and others with an interest in the breed.
We are currently about 1200 members who work together to fulfil
our aim. In order to be able to offer local activities for members
we have club districts that covers different parts of the country.
“Omplacering”
is where you find Belgian Shepherd Dogs that for some reason need
a new home.
“Postorder”
is our shop where you can order different club items.
“PR-Info”
is examples of what we do to create good PR for our breed.
“RasInfo”
is information about the breed. The Belgian Shepherd Dog, all 4
versions, is a marvellous breed – active, intelligent, beautiful
and with high demands on its owners! On this page you can click
for information in Swedish about why (or perhaps why not) you should
buy a Belgian Shepherd Dog, the breed standard and different statistics.
“Rasutveckl.kom”
is the committee that handles breeding issues, mental tests, statistics,
the breed register, breeder education etc. On this page there are
links to information in Swedish about our Breed Specific Breeding
Strategy, various statistics, information from the Swedish Kennel
Club and the Swedish Working Dog Association etc.
“Resultat”
is a page to which you can send in Belgian Shepherd Dog results
from shows, tests and dog trials.
“SBH” is information
about our annual event Swedish Belgian Shepherd Weekend which takes
place in the Stockholm area. It consists of both a dog show and
various working dog trials.
“Start”
is of course the start page.
“Styrelsen”
is a list of names, addresses and phone numbers to our officers
and committees, i.e. club chairman, secretary, treasurer and so
forth.
“Tävl. &
prov” is information about tests and trials, entry fees
and our Swedish Belgian Shepherd Dog Championships.
“Uppfödare
i AfBV” is a list of breeders sorted both geographically
and alphabetically.
“Utställningar” is
information about our club shows.
“Valp-Info”
is a list where breeders can advertise their litters, both planned
and born.
“ÅBB”
is a page where Best Belgian Shepherd Dogs of the Year in several
categories are listed.
